US announces major trade deal with Thailand

( October 27, 2025, 15:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: The US and Thailand have reached a new trade agreement in which Thailand will eliminate tariffs on 99 percent of US goods, while the US will maintain a 19 percent duty rate on Thai goods. Thailand also agreed to loosen restrictions and commit to buying US vehicles, medical devices and pharmaceuticals and ethanol. And Thailand will commit to enforcing labor and environmental rights and drop any barriers to US companies on digital service taxes, while cooperating with US demands on export controls and other national security and trade measures.Full agreement below:...
