Lopez again seeks new trial in US wage-fixing case

( October 3, 2025, 01:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Healthcare staffing executive Eduardo Lopez, who a jury convicted of wage-fixing and fraud, filed another motion for a new trial. In his motion, Lopez argued that the US Department of Justice's Antitrust Division suppressed evidence of the "actual benefits" Maxim Healthcare Services, a member of the wage-fixing conspiracy, received in exchange for cooperating with the government's case. "Whether intentionally or not, the Antitrust Division repeatedly misrepresented that Maxim had agreed to pay full restitution to all its victims and suppressed, until after trial, that it had made a special deal with Maxim and its employees that it was obligated only to pay restitution to its nurses, saving Maxim millions in restitution," Lopez said.See attached motion....
