Counsel for health staffing executive responds to US court order to show cause

( July 17, 2025, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Counsel for healthcare staffing executive Eduardo Lopez submitted his response to a Nevada federal judge's order to show cause, apologizing for any oversight and lack of clarity. US District Judge Cristina Silva accused Lopez's lawyer, Mark Krotoski, of making misrepresentations to the the US Department of Justice and the court in a case over wage-fixing and fraud charges against Lopez. Silva directed Krotoski and his trial co-counsel to explain why they shouldn’t face sanctions. In his response to Silva's show-cause order, Krotoski said there "is no basis to impose sanctions against him because he did not act with the intent to mislead the Court or to obtain an advantage in the underlying case, or with the requisite subjective bad faith or intent." See attached file....
