EU digital rulebook needs to be simplified, trade association says

It asks for multiple grace periods, particularly for the AI Act's general-purpose AI code of practice and for products that fall under both the Data Act and the Cyber Resilience Act. They also proposed a two-year extension for meeting the deadlines associated with the AI Act's requirements for high-risk AI systems and urged the European Commission to reconsider its interpretation of the AI law's interplay with the Radio Equipment Directive, so that sectorally regulated products are not unnecessarily classified as high-risk.The statement is attached. ...
