NASCAR opposes racing teams' motion for restraining order in US antitrust case

( July 16, 2025, 23:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The National Association of Stock car auto-racing filed a brief opposing racing teams 23XI and Front Row Motorsport's motion for a temporary restraining order, which would also renew a preliminary injunction shot down by the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, arguing that it has been clearly foreclosed by the Fourth Circuit's reasoning. The appeals court ruled that it was improper to issue an injunction forcing two parties to engage in business that one party claims to be illegal, and the plaintiffs cannot establish a likelihood of success on the merits for their identical request, NASCAR said in its filing to the Western District of North Carolina. "While regrettable, the Fourth Circuit's ruling is clear that it is their choice to make," NASCAR said.See attached file....
