UK data adequacy decisions to be extended for six months, EU Commission proposes

( March 18, 2025, 11:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK data adequacy decisions regulating free data flows between the EU and UK should be extended for six months, the European Commission proposed today. That would allow the UK "time for the legislative process to conclude," the statement reads. Once the UK has its legal framework in place, the commission will assess whether the UK continues to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data. If this is the case, the commission plans to renew the adequacy decisions for the UK.Statement follows....
