Virginia railroads oppose US Supreme Court review of terminal access antitrust case

( March 17, 2025, 18:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Norfolk Railway and Norfolk & Portsmouth Belt Line Railway told the US Supreme Court that there is no reason to review CSX Transportation’s antitrust case against them over shipping terminal access because the appeals court relied on well-established statute of limitations principles when it affirmed dismissal. They argued that the ruling does not conflict with any other appellate ruling, and even if it  did, the case would present no opportunity to address the issue, because CSX doesn’t challenge the Fourth Circuit’s “splitless” independent holding that CSX’s damages model is fatally flawed.See attached file. ...
