Clock restarts on Mérieux NutriSciences' Australian play for Bureau Veritas AsureQuality

( March 14, 2025, 07:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Food safety-testing services provider Mérieux NutriSciences’ bid to acquire 51 percent of Bureau Veritas AsureQuality is back on track in Australia, with the country's competition watchdog announcing it had received the additional information it had requested and had restarted the clock on its review. In a website entry, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission set May 1 as the new preliminary deadline for an announcement, which could either see the deal cleared or the regulator progress to an in-depth investigation with the publication of a statement of issues. On Feb. 7, the watchdog announced it had stopped the clock on the deal, as it awaited further information. The original March 6 deadline was scrapped. The full entry on the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission's website follows: ...
