Italian arbitral award in favor of Valentino upheld in clash with US supplier

Mrinalini Inc.’s challenge to the award remains pending at the Milan Court of Appeals, but that does not stand in the way of Valentino’s enforcement efforts in the US, according to the panel.A New York-based fashion design supply company has failed to persuade the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to put the brakes on an Italian arbitral award it was ordered to pay Valentino S.p.A., in connection with Mrinalini Inc.’s allegations of copyright infringement and other violations....
