AI framework outlines approach for New Zealand government sector

( January 30, 2025, 01:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The New Zealand government has announced a new framework for what it described as a “structured approach” to the deployment of artificial intelligence across the country’s public sector. In a statement, Government Chief Digital Officer Paul James said that the Public Service AI Framework would “support leaders, decisionmakers, practitioners and influencers in agencies in New Zealand to adopt AI safely and securely.” The framework will apply to all forms of AI used in the country’s public service.
