US Steel, Nippon Steel file monopolization lawsuit against Cleveland-Cliffs, CEO

The complaint alleges the defendants engaged in an unlawful campaign to monopolize critical steel markets, destroy plaintiffs’ ability to compete, and cause them billions of dollars in damages. The complaint seeks preliminary and permanent injunctions ordering Cliffs, Goncalves, and McCall to cease violations of both Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act, as well as punitive and trebled damages.Statement follows below.
