Canada competition agency uses rebuttal structural presumption for first time

The agency said the companies’ defense of effective remaining competition, the availability of substitutable products and low barriers to entry weren’t enough to rebut the structural presumption in the Saskatoon area. To address the bureau’s concerns, RONA agreed to sell assets in the overlapping market with All-Fab.
