Unified Patent Court overrides Chinese inaction in preliminary injunction case

The UPC Munich Local Division ruled today that attempts at formal service through The Hague Service Convention are sufficient to meet the UPC’s Rules of Procedure, in a decision which could help the UPC meet its objective for issuing judgments within 12 months of application.Unreasonable delays or lack of response from foreign authorities will not indefinitely stall legal proceedings at the Unified Patent Court, the Munich Local Division indicated today in a case concerning German and Chinese manufacturing firms....
