Amid US ITC probe, SiOnyx accuses Samsung of breaching WiFi Frand obligations

Samsung opened the door to the challenge by accusing “any” SiOnyx product that utilizes the IEEE 802.11(n) WiFi standard of infringement in a September counterclaim.Three months after a US judge in Texas refused to stay patent litigation between SiOnyx and Samsung Electronics Co. in favor of a parallel investigation by the US International Trade Commission, SiOnyx fired back yesterday with 15 affirmative defenses to infringement counterclaims by Samsung....
