Philips prevails nearly in full in US row with MRI machine repair companies

( November 22, 2024, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Image Technology Consulting II and Axiom Imaging prevailed on unfair competition claims leveled over repairs they made to Philips North America MRI machines before September 2021, with a US judge in Texas agreeing that the allegation is time-barred, but Philips won in all other respects on summary judgment.  According to the court, at trial, Philips can seek damages under both the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and Computer Fraud and Abuse Act from the defendants.See attached document....
