Google pitches more search concessions to EU on Digital Markets Act compliance

The search giant is seeking to avoid formal charges of non-compliance with the EU's Digital Markets Act. A Google lawyer said it was trying to ensure fair treatment for “different types of businesses being impacted by the DMA changes” and criticized lobbying by comparison websites.Google has proposed making further changes to how it displays search results for products, hotels and other services in a bid to satisfy EU regulators it is complying with a recent ban on self-preferencing, MLex has learned....
