Pfizer, Flynn Pharma fined by UK antitrust court over epilepsy-drug pricing behaviors

( November 20, 2024, 17:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Pfizer has been fined 62 million pounds and Flynn Pharma fined 6.7 million pounds by the UK competition court over epilepsy-drug pricing behaviors, with the sanctions largely matching those levied previously by the UK competition regulator on the companies. In a ruling, the court said while it set aside the regulator's decision, it remade the decision and found that all but one of the infringements alleged had been made out. The ruling comes after the drugmakers had challenged multimillion-pound sanctions imposed on them by the Competition and Markets Authority. An original set of fines by the CMA had earlier been quashed on appeal. Ruling attached....
