The new guidelines include “ensuring safety is baked into platforms from the start” and “pushing for more transparency from technology companies." As the regulator prepares to start enforcing the Online Safety Act, it will need to inform the government on what action it has taken to ensure laws are delivering safer spaces online. Statement follows.
