UK ESG ratings providers see draft regulation from finance ministry

( November 15, 2024, 09:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK environment, social, and governance ratings providers have received a draft regulation from the finance ministry, which follows a consultation from last year. ESG ratings providers can provide technical comments until Jan. 14, 2025. The regulation will expand the regulatory perimeter to capture providing ESG ratings, including ratings produced in the UK and ratings produced overseas which are made available to UK users via a business relationship. Response to the consultation and draft statutory instrument are attached....
