Australian antitrust enforcer exceeds majority of performance measures, report says

( October 23, 2024, 06:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australia’s competition watchdog assessed 307 mergers in the last financial year, of which 22 were referred to public review, documents show. In its annual report for 2023-24, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it had achieved A$624 million ($416.4) in penalties over the period, with A$109 million of that total stemming from competition matters.
