By Amy Miller and Mike Swift ( November 4, 2022, 21:52 GMT | Comment) -- Meta Platforms faces a high-stakes legal test next week as claims that its Pixel tool violated state and federal wiretap laws get a first hearing from a federal judge in San Francisco.  Not only is the former Facebook collecting personal health data tied to individuals, it's illegally using that data about patients' doctors, medical appointments and medical conditions to send them targeted advertising, the plaintiffs say. At least one member of Congress also had hard questions for Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg about the claims. Months after Meta Platforms was hit by allegations its Pixel tracker illegally intercepted protected sensitive medical information to target ads, a federal judge is about to weigh in for the first time....
