Facebook increases estimate for impact of Cambridge Analytica breach, announces privacy changes

Facebook announced that it will launch a series of privacy changes, including tightening the review of requests by apps for data about Facebook users, and requiring approval for all apps that request access to information such as check-ins, likes, photos, posts, videos, events and groups. "We will also no longer allow apps to ask for access to personal information such as religious or political views, relationship status and details," and other forms of senstive data, said Facebook's chief technical officer, Mike Schroepfer.Text of Facebook blog post follows below:...
