StubHub drip pricing harmed consumers, DC says in suit

( July 31, 2024, 19:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The District of Columbia has sued StubHub, an online ticket sales platform, for hiding mandatory fees in initial ticket prices and then pressuring customers later in the checkout to accept a "vastly higher" final, opaque prices. DC Attorney General Brian Schwalb called the company's online ticket sales practices a "convoluted junk fee scheme," and said the suit will end the practice in the District.
