​ESMA proposes delay to clearing for financiers with little derivatives trading

( November 14, 2016, 17:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Financial companies that do little derivatives trading should get an extra two years, until June 2019, to become subject to mandatory clearing, the European Securities and Markets Authority proposed. The suggestion comes as the European Commission reviews the legislation from which the clearing rules are derived.
