EU Covid-19 vaccines subject to export control mechanism from tomorrow

Under the new rules, which will apply from tomorrow until the end of March, exporters will be obliged give authorities advance notice of the amounts and destination of any vaccine shipments. “The aim is to provide greater clarity on vaccine production in the EU and their exports – this transparency has been lacking and is vital at this time,” said trade commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis.
