EU imposes export controls on vaccine shipments following supply shortages

Exporters will be obliged to notify national authorities in advance of the amounts and destination of any vaccine shipments. More than 90 countries — including EFTA members and low-income countries participating in the Covax facility — are exempt.EU exports of Covid-19 vaccines have been made subject to an authorization requirement, under the European Commission’s plan to bring more transparency to where the doses are going....
