Former Goldman banker Ng seeks delay of US surrender date to spend time with family

( April 28, 2023, 21:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Former Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng has asked to delay the date of his surrender to prison, to August, to spend time with his family before incarceration. Ng was convicted of his role in a corruption and embezzlement scheme at 1MDB, a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund. He was sentenced in March to 10 years in prison and ordered to report to prison in May. His family has requested US tourist visas but aren't expected to arrive until June, according to the delay request. The government opposes any extension of Ng's surrender date.See document below....
