( December 11, 2019, 19:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US banks’ brokered deposits would be regulated under a new framework intended to adapt to financial technology under a proposal likely to be issued tomorrow by the US Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., said Jelena McWilliams, the agency’s chair. The changes to be considered aim to reach the 20 million Americans without a checking or savings account, as well as banks in low-income areas.
