Two Covid-19 test centers receive GDPR fine from Hesse data watchdog, 2022 annual report shows

( April 18, 2023, 16:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Two unnamed coronavirus test centers were fined last year by the data protection authority of the German state of Hesse for violating the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, the regulator said in its activity report for 2022. In the first case, it found that an email containing personal data was sent to around 100 recipients in an open distribution list, which led to the data controller company receiving a 16,400-euro fine. Another controller was fined 1,800 euros because the employee re-used adhesive label from the trash that included patients' personal data, it said. This label was stuck on the center's window with a handwritten email address, the agency said.The report is attached in German. ...
