WestRock, KapStone file US, Austrian antitrust paperwork; receive German clearance

( March 28, 2018, 13:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: WestRock and KapStone Paper and Packaging refiled antitrust paperwork with the US antitrust authorities on March 14, WestRock subsidiary Whiskey Holdco said in a securities filing. The companies had initially filed paperwork on Feb. 9, but they voluntarily withdrew their notification. The waiting period is expected to expire on April 13, unless the Department of Justice grants early termination or requests additional information concerning the deal. The companies also filed notification with the Austrian regulator on March 13, and will seek approval from Mexico's competition authority.
