Dutch e-commerce platforms, websites urged to meet tracking-cookie requirements, regulator says

( December 10, 2019, 13:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- Dutch e-commerce platforms and websites that fail to meet tracking-cookie requirements have been urged to change their policies to meet the rules, the Netherlands' data protection authority has said. It carried out a check among 175 websites and e-commerce platforms, and found that a large majority doesn't ask users for consent. The regulator said it will soon carry out an investigation to check whether cookies are being used in line with the rules.Statement in Dutch follows....
