Brazilian regulator asks for waiver to exchange information with European Commission on HNA-Air France deal

( November 8, 2016, 14:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian competition authority has asked HNA Aviation, a subsidiary of Chinese HNA Group, and La Compagnie d'Exploitation des Services Auxiliaires Aériens to grant the agency a waiver allowing it to exchange information about their deal with the European Commission, according to a statement disclosed in the case file. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense is reviewing HNA Aviation's plans to acquire unitary control of La Compagnie d'Exploitation des Services Auxiliaires Aériens through the acquisition of a 49.99 percent stake in ServAir currently held by Air France.CADE statement follows in Portuguese....
