EC Statement: Antitrust - EC opens antitrust proceedings against companies in French water sector

( January 18, 2012, 08:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has opened formal proceedings into French companies SAUR, Suez Environnement/Lyonnaise des Eaux and Veolia, as well as their trade association Fédération Professionnelle des Entreprises de l’Eau (FP2E). The regulator is probing whether they “co-ordinated their behaviour on French water and waste water markets” in breach of EU antitrust rules.
