Financial stability gaps exist in fund supervision, BOE’s Cunliffe says

Vulnerabilities exposed in the pension fund industry due to their investments in LDI funds demonstrate the liquidity stresses that non-banks can experience, he said.UK banks are resilient to “quite considerable stress,” but the same cannot be said of the non-bank financial market, such as asset managers and hedge funds, Bank of England deputy governor Jon Cunliffe told lawmakers today....
