US, EU optical-fiber products face extended antidumping measures in China

( April 25, 2023, 03:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China's Ministry of Commerce decided on April 22 to extend antidumping measures imposed on dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber imported from the US and the EU for a further five years, according to a final-review ruling published by the ministry. The product is used mainly for high-speed and long-distance transmission, such as telecommunications and cable-TV. A revocation of the antidumping measures would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the domestic industry, the regulator said.
