EU's energy state aid guidelines to be released in spring, official says

Companies are eager to see the rules, as a large part of the bloc's Covid recovery aid will go into emission-cutting projects, as well as tougher bloc-wide goals on clean energy and carbon permits trading, loom large.The EU's updated guidelines setting out how governments can design financial-support programs for companies to move away from fossil fuels will be put out for an eight-week public consultation this spring, a European Commission official said today....
