Eight countries and territories join US-EU critical raw materials forum

( July 18, 2024, 14:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Argentina, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Namibia, Peru, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and the Danish territory of Greenland have joined the joint US-EU Minerals Security Partnership Forum, the European Commission said today. The platform, which started in April, aims to enhance trade relations between resource-rich countries and those with a high demand for raw materials. Its work will now focus on identifying investment opportunities and establishing “regulatory frameworks with strong environmental, social and governance principles.” With these additions, the forum's membership has grown to 23.Full statement follows (In French):...
