Halliburton complies with DOJ second request, receives information query from EU

( August 1, 2015, 23:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Halliburton said on Sunday it had fully complied with the Department of Justice's second request for information regarding the oilfield service company's proposed acquisition of rival Baker Hughes. Halliburton also said it filed its Form CO, the standard notification document for merger approval in the EU, on July 23. On Friday, Halliburton received an EU request for additional information "in a few discrete areas," according to the company.
