Google, plaintiffs differ on schedule for long-running US 'referrer-header' privacy case

( January 4, 2021, 22:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google and plaintiffs in a 10-year-old privacy case that was appealed up to the US Supreme Court have very different proposals for the schedule of how the litigation should play out. The plaintiffs hope to complete briefing on class certification by October 2021, while Google wants to have until August 2022 to reach that point. "Plaintiffs will seek certification of this case as a class action and a declaration that Google’s actions violate the Stored Communications Act, constitute breach of express and implied contracts, and unjust enrichment," the plaintiffs said in a joint filing on the case.See attached document....
