EU methane-emissions rules plans out for feedback

( December 22, 2020, 18:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Energy businesses have been invited to provide their input to European Commission’s plans to put forward new EU legislation aimed at curbing fugitive methane emissions, which forms part of its Green Deal policy program. The EU’s executive arm wants to propose rules on emissions monitoring, reporting and verification, as well as obligations to detect and repair methane leaks, among others.
