EU urges Poland to properly implement gas-supply rules

( March 8, 2018, 11:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Poland’s gas-storage law is incompatible with EU rules for the security of gas supply, the European Commission today said, asking the country to fully implement the respective EU rules. Polish law currently obliges companies that import gas to store it abroad. The obligation makes foreign storage less attractive and cumbersome than domestic storage, the EU watchdog said.
