Portuguese companies exploiting health crisis will be in regulator’s sights in 2021

( December 30, 2020, 16:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Portuguese competition authority has outlined its priorities for 2021, promising to strictly scrutinize price fixing or market sharing that might be conducted by companies exploiting the current health crisis “at any level of the supply chain.” In a statement published today, the AdC also named digital issues among its top priorities. With Portugal chairing talks between EU governments in the first half of 2021, the AdC said it also wants to “contribute to the economic recovery by reinforcing recommendations aimed at eliminating unnecessary barriers to corporate and professional initiatives.”Statement follows....
