Security companies fined EUR47 million in Belgium for ‘no poach’ and other cartel conduct

( July 3, 2024, 15:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Security providers G4S and Seris have received fines in Belgium totaling just over 47 million euros ($50 million) for price-fixing and no-poach arrangements, as well as collusion during public procurement and other tender procedures. The Belgian antitrust authority said the practices, which took place between 2008 and 2020, distorted competition in the supply of private-security services in the country, in breach of domestic and EU competition rules. A third company, Securitas, escaped a sanction as it qualified for full immunity from the fine. G4S and Seris benefited from fine reductions for helping to establish certain facts and for settling the probe, the authority said.Statement follows. ...
