Ericsson allowed to pursue suit against Samsung in US, judge rules

( December 28, 2020, 17:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Samsung can't seek or enforce an antisuit injunction from a foreign court against Ericsson regarding fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory licensing related to 4G and 5G patents owned by Ericsson, a US federal judge ruled. Ericsson filed a suit against Samsung in the US, and Samsung subsequently filed a suit in China, in which it won an injunction preventing Ericsson from prosecuting its US action.
