Pigments Spain-Ferro Corp merger gets conditional Portuguese approval

( December 28, 2020, 15:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- Pigments Spain has received conditional Portuguese merger approval for its acquisition of the tile-coatings business of Ferro Corp, a US-based coatings and color solutions company, the country's antitrust regulator said today. The deal raised the risk of significant barriers to competition in the supply of enamels, enamelled paints and digital paints, which are essential inputs to the ceramic floor and tile industry, the regulator said. To overcome the authority's concerns, Pigments Spain must sell the Portuguese assets acquired from Ferro Corp.Press release follows....
