Barclays isn’t barred by EU law from enforcing Spanish mortgage, EU court rules

( April 30, 2014, 09:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: EU law doesn’t preclude Barclays from seeking to collect a debt remaining after the auction of the borrower’s foreclosed home fell short of the balance of the mortgage, the EU’s top court ruled.
