Government unsure how many EU trade deals need replicating or how to do it, UK lawmakers say

( March 7, 2018, 00:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK government is not clear over how many EU trade agreements and trade-related agreements with third countries need to be replicated in time for Brexit, lawmakers said today, or how to achieve it. A report by the House of Commons’ International Trade Committee calls for clarity on the “number, type, scope, extent and importance” of around 40 trade agreements and an estimated 759 trade-related agreements. It noted that the Department for International Trade sees transposing the agreements before the UK's withdrawal as its second priority, after establishing the UK’s position at the WTO.The report is attached....
