UK trade deal 'best outcome' for individuals and businesses, EU government leaders say

( December 24, 2020, 15:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU-UK trade talks have resulted in "the best outcome" for individuals and businesses in both jurisdictions, the European Council said today. “For our citizens and businesses a comprehensive agreement with our neighbor, friend and ally is the best outcome ... Now is the time for the Council and the European Parliament to analyze the agreement reached at negotiators’ level, before they give their green lights," the council's president, Charles Michel, said. The deal will be implemented on Jan. 1, 2021.Statement follows....
