UK funeral directors, crematorium operators to disclose price list after CMA's legal order

( June 16, 2021, 09:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Funeral directors and crematorium operators will have to display a price list of services from September following the UK competition agency's implementation of a package of remedies for the sector after an antitrust market investigation. The remedies have been set out in a legal order. Further remedies concerning the regulation of funeral directors have been recommended to the UK government, the Competition and Markets Authority has said. Among recommendations made in a report last year, the CMA said that the sector needs an inspection and registration regime to monitor the quality of services.Statement follows.
