​​Greece's new National Transparency Authority a welcome new step, but actions must follow, IMF says

( November 15, 2019, 16:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The new National Transparency Authority of Greece, which will oversee the work of the country's General Secretariat Against Corruption and five other public auditing agencies, was welcomed by the International Monetary Fund. But, the IMF said in a staff report, "implementation is now key." The IMF also urged Greece "to speed up the reform of the Criminal and Criminal Procedures Codes, specifically with respect to the active bribery offence of public officials, to align it with the OECD’s Anti-Bribery Convention."See document below....
